EE's much anticipated 5G launch still came as a surprise to consumers and competitors as a result of the PR campaign that saw the brand achieve more coverage and engagement than ever before!

Key media contacts & Influencers were invited to a secret gig where they would watch from a boat positioned upon the Thames whilst consumers tuned in across social media to find out what was happening on the night of launch. Onboard guests live-streamed the event to their followers, disseminating the now 'not so secret' gig across major online platforms

Staged in the middle of the Thames in front of Tower Bridge and open to amazed spectators that passed by, Stormzy led the countdown to EE's 5G launch with a surprise performance and light show powered by the 5G network. 

Following the success of this launch, Glastonbury would become the world's first 5G festival.
