instax Halloween Project

Ahead of Halloween, instax wanted to generate brand recognition without the launch of a new product. The plan was to generate social hype for its SQ10 model by picking out a key feature of the camera and creating a social campaign around this. This campaign needed to speak to millennial who were most likely to purchase the camera for themselves ahead of Christmas.

Instead of working with traditional lifestyle Influencers, I worked with SFX makeup artists who generally get a lot of online attention during the Halloween period. I asked them to create a look inspired by one of the filters available on the camera (red, orange, purple) and showcase the steps using instant prints

This was hugely successful in inspiring consumers to not only re-create these makeup looks, but to purchase an instax camera to capture their Halloween celebrations. It also spoke to many SFX artists who wanted to capture the steps for their own makeup looks using instant prints.
